Proposal
The constitution of KAD DAO encourages proposers to include the following parts in KAD improvement proposals: Summary: Two or three sentences summarizing the KIP. Motivation: A statement on why the KAD community should implement the KIP. Basic Principles: Explain how the KIP is consistent with the mission and guiding values of the KAD community. Key Terminology: Definitions of terms in the proposal that are unique, new to the KAD community, and/or specific to the industry. This section is optional but recommended. Specification: Detailed classification of the platform and technology to be used. This section allows you to elaborate on the "reason" behind design decisions. You can also use this section to describe alternative designs and related work that have been considered, such as successful (or unsuccessful) implementations of similar specifications on other chains or languages. Implementation Steps: Steps to implement the KIP, including the relevant costs, manpower, and other resources (if applicable) for each step. KIPs involving third-party transactions (such as grants) need to ensure that applicable legal documents and procedures are included. Timeline: Relevant time details, including but not limited to the start date, milestones, and completion date. Total Cost: The total cost of implementing the KIP. This section should include a breakdown of the total cost of the KIP, including any relevant costs applicable to each step. Consider both fixed and recurring costs. Sometimes, a KIP may not pass on the first attempt. If a KIP fails, the proposer can resubmit the KIP after addressing community concerns. The proposer should include the following additional sections in the resubmitted KIP: Link to Previous KIP: The link to the previous KIP should be included in the resubmitted KIP. Reason for Failure: The reason the KIP failed should be included in the resubmitted KIP. Changes Made: Include changes made to the KIP to address issues raised during the previous submission period. Additional Information: More detailed intentions, details, and impact details can help the community understand the revised KIP and increase its chances of passing.
Community Proposal:
Discuss the proposal within the respective communities and ultimately formulate a proposal.
Community leaders create a proposal based on the discussion results and continue the discussion and voting process for one week within the community.
Within one day after the end of the voting period, a snapshot of asset holdings based on community member's wallet addresses is taken.
If the asset holdings of the proposal voters at the time of the snapshot are higher than 1% of total circulating assets, the proposal is initially successful and will be submitted to the Council.
After initial success, it will proceed to the second step, which is community voting.
Community Voting:
The Council will evaluate which proposals submitted after community discussions are given priority for community voting based on their urgency and impact.
The proposals will be stickied in the community for all members with KAD holdings to vote on.
A snapshot of all assets will be taken every Monday at 1AM. Voting for this week's proposals will be based on asset holdings at the time of the snapshot.
The following 2 conditions must be met for the vote to be successful:
There are more votes in favor than votes against。
The total number of votes in favor is at least the following percentage of voteable tokens:
5% Underlying protocol changes KIP
3% Operational Proposal KIP
If the vote is successful, the proposal will proceed to implementation. If the vote fails but there is interest in improving and resubmitting the proposal, it can be done so.
This protocol is still in its early stages and may continue to develop based on your feedback. If you have any questions or concerns, you can join various communities to discuss them and provide prioritized feedback.
